Pushang Park is located at the western part of Puyang. It faces Huanghe Road which is the main road of the city at south, Puhe Highway at north and Daguang Highway at west. And it is only 4km from the urban area at east. The construction of the park began at February, 2002 and opened to the public on July 1st, 2003 when it covered about 1700 acres among which there were more 170 acres water area. It was windy desert area of Yellow River old riverway before. And it was the main sand source which polluted the urban city because the landform of this area was mobile and semi-mobile sandy land. Thanks to the construction of the park, the thick vegetation there prevents the sands from flowing away.
Now we can see rivers and lakes here and there, green grass and thick woods, birds in the sky and fish in the water, where is a very beautiful natural ecological area and the biggest artificial park in the middle part of China. And it was awarded the National Ecological Education Base in 2006. The park has become the favourite ecological public park for leisure tourism of the local citizens and tourists from surrounding with its beautiful ecological landscape and normative management service. More than 3 million tourists come here per year. What's more, it has become an important platform to show the image and promotion of ecological civilization of the city. The park is just like a bright pearl inlay on the earth of the Dragon City.
